Macgregor
DEB’S MR. MACGREGOR, YORKSHIRE
TERRIER, BORN APRIL 24, 2000, DIED JUNE 24, 2002. AGE 2 YEARS AND 2 MONTHS OLD.

Macgregor, my little man, I miss
you so much, words can never be adequate to express how Momma and Daddy felt
about you. You came into our life at 7 weeks old, and totally changed us. You
immediately took over our household. Your love for us which was unconditional,
quickly won us over, and we both loved you so very much. You were brought home
to be Momma’s little dog, but after I retired in June, 2001, we spent so much
time together that you soon became Daddy’s dog. You brought us closer together
as a family, and we went nowhere without considering how it affected you. You
had separation anxiety when we were away, and were so glad to see us when we
returned. You got to travel some with us, and see the mountains. You loved to go
outside and run and play. You loved to sit in my lap for a while, and then jump
up and go sit on Momma’s lap. You loved your toys so much, the monkey, the
banana, the reindeer, coonie, and all of them. You loved to ride in the truck
with me, and go feed the horses. We miss you so much and will never forget you,
and the joy you brought to us. You came down with a very strange illness
diagnosed as “Coon Dog Paralysis” and within 6 days you were totally paralyzed.
It finally moved into your respiratory system, and although we had you on a
respirator for a short while, your little body just couldn’t hold out, and we
had to let you go to keep you from suffering more. We buried you in one of your
favorite spots in the back yard, where we will place a marker. I hope you are as
happy where you are as you were here, and will keep a sharp lookout for Momma
and Daddy one day. Our lives were made better because of you, and we will never
be the same again without you. You were a very special little dog, and in some
way you touched everyone who met you. Everyone asks about you, and like us, just
can’t believe you are gone. We will never forget you, and you can never be
replaced. Rest easy little man.
All our love, Momma and Daddy
